About asciiville
asciiville was first born in late 2007 and ran until late 2009. I let asciiville slide eventually and stopped maintaining it for a variety of reasons. I brought it back as an archive only site sometime in 2010 but I was more focused on a new general variety comic strip named Purple Garlic Sprouts. However PGS just wasn't feeling the love, whereas the asciiville cartoons were getting a lot of visits. I created a few more cartoons on a whim and figured that I would eventually factor out and relaunch asciiville as its own site again. The "ASCII" part of asciiville was kind of a tribute to my grandfather's work with the American Standard Code for Information Interchange.
About Me
Hello. I am J.T. (aka Todd). I am a geek by trade. My current title is Systems Analyst, although DevOps is probably more accurate. I really enjoy programming, yet the majority of my work life is spent in systems design, development, integration, and root cause analysis involving the following technologies primarily: Linux and Windows (iff mandated by corporate :), Oracle RDBMS and middleware, Java/J2EE, and LAMP. I always strive to design and build the most robust information systems as possible, while also trying to keep those systems as "de-coupled" as possible. At the current juncture, I am slowly revisiting a once-traveled artistic path at Sessions College
Cheers
